Athletics Day

 I entered the 200 meters sprints and the 100 meter sprints and shot put and high jump and long jump we did not do discus I came 4th in 200 meter sprints and 3rd in 100 meter sprints. I think the high jump was the most challenging thing because it was hard to bring my feet up so we had three go's and I tried and I nearly got over then the pole fell off then on the second attempted I ran into it and it fell off then the last attempted I was so wanted to get over and I ran is fast as I could into it and I jumped and it fell off. I liked shot put the most because I could push it with a heap of power and I came 4th I think we did the 3 kg shot put it was a bit light and a bit heavy. before the races my hart was beating fast because I was scared that I would come last place and not make it into the hauraki plains but I think I made it in for shot put and long jump maybe the long jump was the easiest because you just have to run and jump the longest that I got was 3.14 we had three shot's at that was one of my best shots I forgot what my other score was. I showed resilience because My ankle hurt but I kept trying .

Cross Country Reflection 2020

This year I participated in the NPS Cross Country held at school on the Ngatea Domain.  I ran in the - age group. 11

I am most proud of putting the most effort in my run.

I think my effort towards our training at school was running with out stoping.

I showed the Learning Power of Resilience by trying my hardest.

This is my freak out scale the hardest part was drawing the lines down the side because I thought that I was going to go out of the lines. Then it was the words because I thought that I would spell one of the words wrong so I tried my best to spell all of the words right and I think I had spelled all the words right.

This is my whetu challenge that me and my group did  this is the people that were in my group me Desmond,Johan,Marley,Isabella,Darus, I did not get it on the slide because they wouldn't let me put it on.

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is Number of the Day because it is different from Daily Five.

Something that has challenged me this term has been TT Rockstars because I tried to buy everything in the shop and now I have 0 coins.

The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the milk carton challenge because it was fun making them, sticking the eyes onto my creation.

The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was basketball because we got to throw the basketball in the hoop.

An aim I have for my learning is maths mystery because it is a bit hard, you had to read the questions properly.

EGG CARTON CREATION

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons.

I made a fire truck.

the hardest part was gluing the back on because it was really hard .

The easiest part was putting the light on because I just got some glue and put the light on.

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be hard because my plane wasn't going to stay in the ear.

I decided to use the design that my dad made ages ago because it went really high when he did it .

The hardest part was folding the lines because my folding went out of the lines.

During our competition time I managed to score I got three points in the who time that we had and

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with lachlan hemi and Kingston.

At first we had trouble with the straws because the tower kept on falling down.

The easiest thing was putting on the tennis ball.

The best part of our tower was that we all worked together with the pakinsave man.

Our tower looked big and tall because I thought that we won.

In the end we got 3rd.

This is my reading that I did with miss m and I did the 10 questions by my self the story was about the world ugliest animals and the kakapo was on it and this boy said he wanted it off so they sent the website a email and they said that they just chose the ugliest animal.
